Let's visit Arbois with a walkman all year round. Visit the church St-Just
and climb up to the churchtower (meeting point at the foot of the staircases)
(Please ask the tourist office). Visit the town on your own (signposted
tours) : the city has a deserved reputation for ancien houses and towers
that have been preserved. |

Pasteur spent his childhood from 1830 to 1839 in this house and came
back regulary for holidays throughout his life. After his father died
in 1865, Pasteur gradually bought the family's tannery and transformed
it into this cosy and comfortable house where he liked to stay, surrounded
by his family. |
